Pinevalley: March 2014
Thanksgiving:
We thank God for the foundation and construction of our church. We are also grateful for the new offices that are half-done now.
Transformation:
There is a woman by the name of Mrs Swazi Gama who has recently joined our church. She is so committed that we are happy to have her in the church. She has decided to commit herself in helping our youth during their practices and youth services. This is of great help as the youth sort of have direction now of where to go and what to do. We have a lot of young people in the church whose lives are transformed because of the guidance she gives to them. There are also more testimonies now during our Services from the youth than before. Praise God.
Project Update:
We are looking forward to starting the pig’s project and our gardening soon. This will really help us and the community in our sustainability projects. The vegetable garden will be of great help even for the Soup Kitchen that we have where children come to eat lunch before going home. This helps all the orphan and vulnerable children that do not have anything to eat at home.
On another note the pre-school is running well and we thank God for the provision of training of our teachers by Edugate. This helped us in having qualified teachers and knowing all the advantages of having a pre-school as a church. A second teacher who is also an Edugate graduate has been hired to assist the one that we had last year. Having qualified and trained teachers is a great impact to the community as most children were not attending preschools before so putting our church at a better level as the community recognizes this.
Upcoming events:
We will be starting our cell group meetings as soon as possible. This is after we have learnt the importance of having cell groups in the church and their role.
Prayer Requests:
- Pray that God will help us work hand in hand with the church members and maintain unity.
- Pray they we will have committed members that trust God and keep time for services.
- Pray that God’s promises for our church materialize.
BE BLESSED!
